The Worker Tokens in StarCraft Board Game

Posted on Jan 03, 2010 under Gaming |

Each race has a specific type of worker token which represents the ability to gather resources. Not having them present could really affect a player’s ability to build and advance in the game.

From the three different playable races in the StarCraft board game, each has a specific worker which is needed to harvest and use resources. They are an integral part of the economies of each race. The following are each worker unit and a description:

Terran Space Construction Vehicle (SCV)

The SCV is a unit which is manned by a Terran civilian. They are needed in the building of buildings as well as mining the resources needed to create these buildings. They are crude in design but get the work done.

Zerg Drone Worker

The Zerg Drone is a creature which is used to mine a location as well as become the structures needed when building. The drones are an example of a purely organic worker in the game.

Protoss Probe

The Probe is a unit from the Protoss which mines and builds as well. They are purely mechanical and are specially designed to work.

The Importance of Depleting Resource Locations

Workers from every side of the game are very important as a game play element. Multiple workers can be used to deplete a resource. These resource depletion options can give the person depleting it two extra resource points. This makes the resources unusable but can be used against other players.
